Members of the Alabama State Bar are asked to voluntarily accept, on a pro bono basis, 2 cases or perform 20 hours of legal work, whichever comes first, from the VLP each year. Members of the Alabama State Bar may also agree to mentor less experienced volunteer lawyers, sponsor VLP seminars and/or make annual financial contributions.
The Enrollment Form is just for attorneys where they can join by choosing the area of law they want and/or to contribute financially. Please complete and submit the Enrollment Form if you are an attorney volunteer and/or are contributing financially.
The Volunteer Form is for non-lawyer volunteers such as law students, paralegals, social workers, VISTA workers, and others.
