The Birmingham Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Program was founded in 1995. In 2004, The Birmingham Volunteer Lawyers Program incorporated, became a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency, moved from Legal Services of Metro Birmingham and set up a new office at the Birmingham Bar Center.
